Through both industry and sporting circles, Colm has amassed an extensive network of clients, collaborators and contacts which has been maintained and grown with his excellent relationship management skills.
Colm is a trusted advisor to many clients and peers. Colm is a Chartered Accountant with both practice and industry experience, and has vast experience in R&D tax credits, both from a practice and company perspective, giving him an insight into both best-practice and the needs and concerns of clients.
Nadine has recently joined the Inspired team after completing her degree in Accountancy with a specialism in taxation where she has gained an insight into R&D and capital allowances. Nadine is eager to complete her CIOT exams with Inspired Tax Incentives and qualify as a Chartered Tax Consultant.
Niamh has recently joined the team after completing her degree in Business Studies with a specialism in Marketing before taking up a training opportunity at Inspired Tax Incentives as a Graduate Trainee Tax Advisor. Niamh is looking forward to completing her CIOT exams and qualifying as a Chartered Tax Consultant.

Sean Cavanagh FCA
Having established his own growing accountancy practice in 2017, Sean Cavanagh has played a crucial role in developing and realising the vision of Inspired Tax Incentives.
Along with leading strategic efforts to grow Inspired, Sean is central to the development of operational best practice from day one, establishing processes that will ultimately result in clients receiving a high-quality service.
Sean is a born leader, as will be known to anyone with a passing interest in GAA. The Company and its clients benefits from the high-standards he sets.
Leon has extensive expertise in both applying for and assessing grant applications having worked within the public and private sectors over the past decade.
His knowledge of grant schemes makes him an invaluable advisor to clients seeking to secure public funding for their companies. He stays up-to-speed with all regional and national grant opportunities and tailors support to the needs of clients.
Having secured innovation funding for a number of clients over-the years, Leon’s experience in dealing with innovating companies invaluably lends itself to the R&D process, in particular identifying true R&D activity and understanding the associated expenditure taken to achieve it.
Dervla has recently graduated from Ulster University with a BSc in Accounting with specialism in Taxation.
Dervla is one of the newest members of the Inspired team and brings a wealth of knowledge from her Bachelors qualification.
Having had an insight into corporation tax, Dervla has gained a great interest in the field of R&D activity and Capital Allowances.
Within Inspired Tax Incentives, Dervla is eager to complete her CIOT exams and qualify as a Chartered Tax Consultant.
Paddy has not taken the traditional career path on his way to becoming an experienced and trusted tax advisor.
During his multi-faceted career to date he has trained in both law and in construction before taking up a training opportunity at a multi-national accountancy firm, where it became clear his construction knowledge provided great insight and value in helping construction clients with R&D and Capital Allowances claims.
Paddy also has extensive knowledge of the Capital Allowances regimes in both UK and Ireland this has included preparation of historical and direct expenditure claims for properties ranging from standard warehouse units, high end boutique hotels, coldstores and mixed use retail units.
Lynsey provides admin and personal support to our team, helping to deliver consistent and excellent client services.
Lynsey has the role of organising business travel arrangements, managing office supplies and typing transcripts from client meetings.
Paul is not the standard recruitee for a financial services provider, but his input to the Company is perhaps, the best example of how Inspired deliver top quality service to their clients.
Previously a Senior Quantity Surveyor for McAleer & Rushe, Paul’s knowledge of the Construction Industry, including his ability to identify and validate new technologies and innovative practices, sets him apart from technical specialists in our field.
The value of Paul’s presence and input can be seen instantly during our meetings with Construction clients; their level of trust is clear as he has comprehensive understanding of their activities. Paul has input into not only our R&D claims but Capital Allowances, especially in cases where information is limited and re-calculation of capital works may be required.
Having previously worked in accountancy for Sean Cavanagh and Co. Ben jumped at the opportunity to work in tax where he combined his pre-existing accountancy skills with ever-expanding R&D knowledge to deliver on R&D claims for clients.
Ben liaises with clients throughout the R&D claims process and is forensic in identifying and compiling qualifying costs.
Fergal is working with other members of the team to help clients through R&D and Capital Allowances claims, which are two areas of tax Fergal has a high interest in.
Fergal has recently completed his degree with a 1st class honours in Business Studies with specialism in Accountancy and is now keen to complete his CIOT exams with Inspired Tax Incentives, to become a Chartered Tax Consultant.
Fergal has gained experience in the insolvency industry and enjoys watching and playing football for his local club.
Denise is a highly motivated marketing professional with a First Class BA Hons Degree in Business Studies and Marketing. With an array of international experience in internal and external marketing, Denise is central to the company’s brand management; overseeing all marketing activities, website maintenance, and managing social channels.

Cathal manages key relationships with our clients for R&D, Patent box and general tax advisory services.
Having previous experience in a global accounting practice with specialism in Corporate Tax, he provides the wider team with technical tax input and ensures that we keep up to speed with all UK tax updates.
Cathal also has a working background within an Agricultural business which has leant itself to supporting businesses within this and the Food & Manufacturing industries to maximise their tax reliefs and incentives.
Jonny has previous experience working in Business Recovery and Restructuring and Tax Compliance which has given him exposure to working with a wide range of businesses.
Having achieved his Chartered Tax Advisor qualification during a training contract at a multi-national firm, where he spent a large part of his time working in the tax incentives department, Jonny has developed the necessary tax expertise to deliver both high-value R&D and Patent Box claims.
Gareth previously studied Law at Newcastle University and obtained an MSc in Business Management before taking up a training opportunity at a multi-national accountancy firm. During his time there he worked in a split role within the Corporate Tax Compliance and Tax Incentives team. This experience has equipped him with the knowledge to deliver high-value R&D claims for our clients.
Gareth is a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians and is currently working to attain his Chartered Tax Adviser status.
